Ok ok ok..so married 31+ years, two kids..and I STILL can't find the EFFIN hole!!! Dammit!
Doing a timing chain on my 2013 R61 JCW All4 Auto. Trying to lock the crankshaft by inserting pin and locking the flywheel.
Where the hell is the damned thing?!?! I've watched video after video, seen pic after pic, writeup after writeup. 99% of the time they are wrenching on a manual shift car.
Automatics definitely still need to have the flywheel locked when setting the timing with the cams, that's the only way to know for sure that the crank and cams are synchronized
Found it!! Underneath the end of the bracket. But do autos need to have their flywheels locked?
I am suffering the same can't find the hole situation. The tool definitely doesn't fit as is without removing the bracket. So the secret is to remove the bracket?
