2012 R60 Misfire (I know, another thread)

2012 Countryman S All4, 113K Miles.

Was driving home happily on the highway at 70(ish) last week, about 4 miles from home Gave a little more gas to pass a truck, and the car freaked out.

CEL, Reduced Power, All shades of angry.

Pull off the highway, pull out my scan tool, and get the following:

2EF0 - Combustion Misfiring Cylinder 4 Damaging Exhaust Gas after start sequence
2FAB - Ignition, Cylinder 4, Combustion Period too short
2EE0 - Combustion Misfiring Several Cylinders, Fuel Injection Deactivation
2EF7 - Misfire Fuel Injection Deactivation

Brought to my shop on Saturday, Spark Plugs were roached. Replaced plugs, Battery was original and was low, so it was replaced, oil was low (only 3000 miles into the range) so an oil change was done.

Mechanic test drove a few times with no issue.

I picked it up today, didn't make it home (3 miles from the shop) without the same #4 Cylinder Misfire Codes.

Any suggestions before I firebomb it?

Simple test, swap your coils and see if the misfire moves, if so just replace all 4 of them if you have the means.

After rereading you might have a bad injector as well.

Did that, finished about 20 minutes ago. No change,

Injectors are the next step.

I am learning to hate this car. Fun when it drives. A real pain when it doesn't.

Hey Darkside, ever get that figured out? I've a 2012 Countryman S that just did the same with #2 cylinder after what I thought was a successful turbo purge valve swap. Thought your experience may be a good starting point.
