The replacement DME comes in today & I will flash this afternoon. The backup was pretty easy, however, I'm wondering if I need to do anything else. The information available online is pretty much all over the place on this when it comes to VIN numbers and other items. I'll know this evening.

ITS ALIVE!!!
I do have three errors.
1. P053A
2. P0193
3, P0102 (
DME came last night at 9:30(!) from UPS. I flashed it at lunch and put it in the car. Started right up. Car is in "reduced power" mode, but I think I got too excited and didn't tighten a hose down (bog down on initial throttle & The powers up). I didn't have too much time to troubleshoot, but I will tonight. The good news is that it runs!

I'm hoping that with Manic dead someone will let the cat out of the bag on OBD2 N18 tuning...

So the P053A was my bad. Those little connectors on the intake hose from the turbo (mini c clamp 2 prong connectors) were not seated in fully. Now I am just getting MAF (P0100 & P0102) and Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit High (P0193) failures. The P0193 is causing the engine malfunction message. I checked the rail pressure reading through the OBDII and I am showing 3624.5 psi. The MAF flow rate is at 39.8 lb/min. I am getting a lot of fuel burning through, guessing from the smell. I'm guessing that the MAF failure is coming from excess fuel burning through the system. Am I off on this assumption? Any ideas?

did you have these issues with the old ECU before it died?
Sometimes the donor ECU, depending on the condition of the car it was removed from, might be damaged! before you waste brain cells, verify the donor car was not hit from the front and wires were not cut/shorted due to an accident. Also verify the pins of the ECU are not bent.

Reached out to the seller of the DME I flashed & they sent me more pics. The accident looks bad, however, no major damage to the engine bay. So I cleaned everything up and I am still getting the following codes. P0193. P0100. P0102. The engine is running in reduced power mode. I've cleared the codes and they always come back. A P0136 and P0141 pop up for a little bit, but cleared and haven't come back. I have a spare O2 sensor so I will be changing it out tomorrow to see if anything changes. The O2 sensor was coming up before the original DME fried, but not errors with the FRP sensor or the MAF. I also cleaned the MAF with MAF cleaner and checked for any vacuum leaks. Nothing looked bad. Ran the car around the block and it runs smooth besides the reduced power. No stalling or misfires. Also, took some snapshots of sensors through the OBD2 tool I use. The thing that concerns me is the FRP sensor still reads very high.

I really don't know if the HPFP is bad. It was never an issue we've had before. The codes do not change with the connector disconnected. I disconnected the other connector as well to double check. No code changes. I cleared the codes, tried again, same three codes, P0100, P0102, and P0193. It just does the same thing & wreaks of fuel smell (no leaks).
