I hit a fairly deep pothole on the highway today. It was so hard, it snapped the flex pipe at the front of the exhaust just downstream of the front cat (at red arrow in pic). I almost had a heart attack when I saw that it is a fully integrated part with a $1500+ cost. I brought the car to a trusted welder and he cut out the old flex pipe and welded in a new one for $100.
