Exhaust Flex Pipe

Anyone know a Flex Pipe that is compatible with a 2.5 inch down pipe?
The Mini has a certain curve at the end of the downpipe that a bracket connects the downpipe and the flex pipe together without welding. Is there a flex pipe that is compatible with my Evolve Automotive Catless Downpipe?
I have a custom exhaust and the weak point of the exhaust is the flex pipe because it is smaller than 2.5 in and is connected to the stock piping which is also smaller than 2.5in. So right now my setup is 2.5in Catless DP > Smaller Flex Pipe and OEM Exhaust Pipe(3 Feet) > 2.5in piping(Catless)>Muffler 2.5in inlet and outlet.
I have a small choke in the system. Any ideas on how I can get rid of this?

Hope this helps

This link is for a 2.5 inch stainless flex pipe. It contains stainless braid on the outside and interlocking bellows on the inside. This is the preferred type we use in aviation to handle bleed air from the jet engines. It creates less turbulence than having exposed bellows internally and you don't have to worry about any internal braiding coming loose and blocking anything up downstream.

The second link contains a 2.5 inch stainless flared pipe to mate the bellows to the downpipe.

Thanks for your help! This is useful.
You think my small bottleneck in my exhaust is causing a loss in horsepower?

Yes. Flow volume, pipe diameter and pressure are all interrelated. In order for a smaller diameter pipe to flow the same as a larger one the pressure must increase hence more back pressure with smaller exhaust. The result will be the same whether the restriction is 4 inches long or 4 feet long.

Thanks for the advice. Any idea how big the stock diameter is for the R56?

Any idea if the OEM bracket will fit this flex pipe that you posted? Or do I need a new clamp or whatever it's called.

The shop that did the install for me said they re-used the existing clamp but put a new seal in. They didn't say anything about having to trim or replace anything else.

BTW I should probably clarify my statement earlier about the restriction causing a loss of HP. It will...but you have already replaced the biggest sources of restriction so maybe only a 1-2 HP at a guess. But then again a few HP here and few HP there...it all adds up.
