Countryman radio removal
Countryman radio removal
Had a quick look around but couldn't find what i was looking for. Has anyone posted a step by step (with pics)removal of a Countryman radio? I'm fed up with mine losing the screen once it warms up and absolutely no AM radio coming thru.
Also, if i replace with another Countryman radio that appears to be the same, is there any coding required ?

removal is simple in the sense that it's just removing screws and parts. You have to pull the dash out to pull the radio. Not hard, just time consuming.
Not sure about the coding, but I imagine as long as its a 1 for 1 swap, it should be fine. I've read of a few people who went from the standard radio to the Navi screen style and it was all plug and play.

The Navi screen style w/out actual Navi? Hmmm.... be nice if that worked w/out having to code it at the dealer.
As for removing the radio, i seem to recall some screws that were an absolute b*tch to get at.
