Hey all I have searched all over and haven't found what i'm looking for. I have oil leaking out of the upper joint of the discharge pipe. Making a mess out of the left side of the motor, I can smell it in the car and outside when I come to a stop.
I own an oil diesel truck and expect it to smell of diesel but not from my Mini.

Point me in the right direction please.

Got the same thing happening. Tried everything to figure it out.

 

mine had a little oil coming out same spot when brand new ... as the oil level lowrred to 1/2 it stopped and the oil level stayed at 1/2 until oil change .... after oil change the same thing, oil from tube until level dropped to 1/2 ... so since then, i only put 4 quarts in ... that puts the oil level right at 1/2 ... no more oil from the tube and no oil consumption between oil changes
