Mini Connected Bluetooth freaking out

Recently switched phones from a iphone 4s to a moto x, and my countryman's connected system seems to be freaking out. The phone pairs fine, and music and phone capabilities work great, for about 5-10 min.

After that the phone / car will loose bluetooth conection. I'f im in the phone section of the connect system, the car display will loose specific information and display a rotating circle like its thinking. After a little bit the phone and the car will go back to normal just as before they connected. After another few minutes they will auto connect again and repeat the cycle.

Even stranger, on at least 2 occasins now, while doing its little thinking circle it will come back and forget every phone it's paired with, not just the current moto x. And I'll have to re-pair the phone and system.

Anyone experience anything similar?

The system is really built to support iPhones. Sell the Moto, and get an iPhone again.

I had something similar happen to me and traced it down to an incompatibility with the implementation of the Message Access Profile (MAP) between the phone and car.

Try re-pairing the phone and when it prompts to allow access to "Messages" select no. (I received two message related prompts) Access to Phonebook/contacts touch yes.

Email and texts will not appear on the car, but all contacts transferred fine. After that the connection was solid.

I'm new to mini. I'm having problems pairing my iPhone to the Bluetooth & cannot find anything in the manual a detailing the how-to's. I've got an antennae on the roof, I've got phone buttons on the steering wheel & on the audio system. I'm just not sure how to pair the phone with the car. Do I even have that capability, since I have all the apparent necessary buttons?

Thanks for your help!
