Alarm problems

I now have a Countryman vice the Clubman. The other day during a light rain, the car alarm start going off right after I used the door button to lock the car. It would no stop even after I got back in, restarted the car with the key fob. It took me 3 to 4 minute by pushing buttons on the key fob. I did nothing different in stopping, getting out or locking the car.
Any body else have this problem?

not good sounds like water got in some connector, make the dealer check it out and note it in the file

I had a somewhat similar problem with my 2013 Countryman. When I was driving away from the dealership after taking delivery, a door sensor started indicating that the right rear door was open. Not only was the constant chiming annoying, but it also meant the alarm went off almost immediately after the car was locked. The problem turned out to be that moisture got into some part in the door. They didn't have a replacement part so I just had them bypass the part for the time being.
