Bi-Xenon Headlight Cutoff switch/adjustment

I own a 2012 mini countryman that I shipped to Japan. I am having trouble with the inspection because the headlight cut off (Bi-Xenon Headlight) is set up for the USA like this ----/. I need the cutoff to be adjusted to drive on the other side like this \----- or this ------. is there a switch i can move on the us spec headlight to swap the cutoff or is there a way I could modify it with out buyng new headlights. and does any have any diagrams of the assembly if I disassembled the light/instructions. thanks for any help you could provide

The easiest solution is to buy the new housings, any parts department can find the new part number for RHD cars.

You can attempt to do it yourself and disassemble the housing and try to dissemble the projector and take the cutoff shield out, flip it around, and re install...assuming it is symmetrical. I am not sure the shield is flip-able, but if it is it will look like this...

This is not from a MINI but it should look similar.

I have a disassembled Xenon headlight for the my CM4 and I'll take a look at the barrier tonight to see if it gives any insight.

Here's a photo of the adaptive xenon cutoff panel in its operating position, right-hand headlight for left-hand (USA) drive. If you wanted to cut off the light for use on the other side of the road, this is where you would have to add on light blockage to drop the beam (extend it to the right in the image).

Getting into this is not trivial. In place, it's all sealed up with only the projector lens visible. The optical compartment was difficult to take apart because of the rubber sealant at all edges. I can't imagine putting it back together being easy - you'd have to clean up everything and reseal the whole business.
