The black trim/paint on the hatch release has started cracking around the edges, has anyone else seen this... I have been lucky enough not to have had the peeling trim issue...

 

We have not taken delivery of our CM yet, but I hate to see this...seems like most people on this forum take great pride in their cars.

 

I have the exact same issue as you are experiencing right now. I called my MINI dealership and they said bring it in. How long have you owned your MINI for? I hope they are able to just replace the emblem, but I doubt that resolves the long term issues w/ the cracking.

 

I've had my Mini just over a year.... The emblem just snaps on, took them a couple of minutes to replace it....

 

I've got the same issue. Seems replacing it at this point will result in cracking with the new one a year from the time it was replaced.

Maybe I'll wait until 35 months or 35900 miles (whichever comes first).

...or Maybe it's something to get vinyl wrapped.... hmmmm.

 

I noticed mine doing this as well the other day. Kind of irritating.
