2004 Mini S cranks but will not start

Parked our Mini S a few days ago and went to start it yesterday and all it did was crank over but would not start. I have spark at the plugs and can hear the fuel pump running. I also checked the fuses relating to the engine electrics I think. Does anyone have any ideas? thanks in advance

Hi, interestingly enough my '04 S has also come down with the "no starts". Similar to you however, I can't say for certain if I can hear my fuel pump at ignition start. How loud is it? Is it a low hum?

I did notice the fuse for the the pump was burnt out so I replaced it but still couldnt get it to start. Next I'm checking for spark. What ended up being the problem with yours?

You'd probably have better luck in the 1st Gen forums rather than the Countryman forums.

From what I remember when I changed my fuel filter, you can hear the fuel pump when you turn the ignition on, but before you actually start the car. The fuel pump is located under the passenger seat, and it's easier to hear if you pull the seat part out (it just pops off when you pull up on it). Best of luck!
