Window Issue

I have a new 2011 Countryman, but I have a small problem with the front windows(love this car). When I put the front windows down they do not open all the way. A small piece of the windows shows, but other times they open fine. I ask the dealer but they not sure what do. They said that some Countryman's windows do it and some not, they are calling Mini about this problem(maybe a software problem they said). Has anyone have had this problem. Thank you. Great car!!!https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...s/confused.gif

The passenger side window went all the way down today but the driver side stayed up about 1/4 inch at the front. Is very strange. Maybe the doors/seals been new are very tight and the windows regulators get stuck on the way down. If you close the door with the window open, you can see the window move down a little bit.

MY car did the window thing again. I happened to have BOTH fobs in the car at the time. It seems to be the only time it happens.

My car does it with only one fob. Maybe is a program issue. The dealer has a few more cars with the same problem, they will find a fix.

My front windows did the same thing. Now the driver side goes down but the pass side is still about 3/4 in up.

All of them at the dealer here in The Woodlands leave a bit exposed at the front. They are no consistent either. MA was not bothered with them until I pointed it out. I'm sure mini will have a fix, not that it really matters because when its in the 90's (11 1/2 months a year it seems) we have the windows up and the AC on FULL.

Midnight, I haven't had the issue repeat since day 6. Cross your fingers. It might go away.

My MA emailed me and said that it is a software issue and he is checking with service on if/when there is a fix.

Both windows are going all the way down today. Now with the windows down and the sunroof open something is banging around in the wind but I can't find it.

Look at the seatbelt straps. Passenger side one in my 07 makes lots of noise at time with all opened.

Windows not going done all the way

Has anyones window issue gone away with time? Just picked up mine Countryman Friday and the passenger goes all the way and driver stays up about 3/4 inch. MA has no clue and no bulletin on it yet. Has anyone heard of a fix or is it just time and use?

Same here with the window issue. MINI service in my town said that they don't have the current software, so they have to wait to figure it out. They have been running the Countryman on the older software to see if it can fix the issues that come in.....not with much luck.

My drivers side window issue has resolved itself, at least for now.

The dealer said that they were told by Mini that the issue is program related and that they are working on a fix. Mine are going down for now, but is still a hit or miss.

Mine driver window stopped with 1 1/2 inches to go yesterday. I thought it had started being nice.

This is obviously a programming glitch having to do with the FOB. Mine came back after I had used the fob in it's slot and then got back in with the fob in my pocket. I managed to make it go away, here's what fixed it:

Engine running window sticking up that 1"or so.

Closed window. Inserted Fob into slot. Turned off CM. Removed Fob. Started with fob NOT in slot. Rolled down window and it goes all the way down. Go figure.

My clubbie used to do this stuff when I had both key fobs in the car too. It was fixed with a software update which meant a trip to the dealer to plug in to the computer. Haven't had a problem since.

I haven't had the prob yet on my CM.
