Lifted my Countryman and now....

Lifted my 2012 countryman all4. I put on the crap industries 2 inch lift with a new 22mm rear sway bar. I have 20mm spacers on wheels so it gives it a nice stance. Problem is, I did not put on aftermarket rear sway bar end links...car is quiet and rides great except when I hit some bumps I can hear a "thunk" sound coming from the rear. For the life of me I have searched under the car, looked for any signs of rubbing on bar, etc and nothing. I tightened everything back up today and still have the thump. Can anyone give me some suggestions? If I do need new end links, how much longer should they be? Thank you for all your help on this.
Cheers.

In my opinion it's a mistake to either raise or lower a Mini Cooper. It was factory built with specifications and components, and more specifically, the suspension. Raising it will affect the performance and have a negative effect on the car. I would leave it as us, or you will most likely have ongoing issues.

From my understanding the kits comes with end links different size from stock. I would try put those on and see if it goes away....

I would look at the swaybar endlinks... Since you raised your front and rear by two inches, it would change the positioning of the swaybar in respect to it's "natural" resting position. You're probably hearing contact between the swaybar endlink bolt and the trailing arm.

If you modify the suspension geometry significantly, you should take into account all the ancillary pieces that go along with it. BTW, I would recommend replacing both front and rear with adjustable endlinks.

Kit did not have the end links so I am going to order them and see if it helps.

MINI offers lift kits themselves through the dealers, FWIW. There was a new lifted '16 Countryman sitting on the dealership floor the last time I was in.

What do you think of the lift? I live in Montana, so I'm torn... have never been one to lift a sporty car. I usually go the other way, but then why have all4?
