Can max it out at $49,650k if I went with Lapisluxury Blue and added Bonnet Stripes, Offroad Exterior Styling, Lounge Leather and Stone Hill Grey Illuminated.
Looks like the other models have been updated for 2018 on the configurator as well. Base MSRP increases across the board - rear cams standard and you can see the new fuel gauge and SPORT/GREEN mode switch.
Still no range stats however. What are the EPA EV range and mpg test results??
It's there near the bottom of the Cooper S E Countryman ALL4 page and was a disappointment to me -- hopefully the "real world" numbers are an improvement? Also, not sure why MPGs and range are nowhere to be found for any of other MINI models, even though dealership websites will display them?
Thanks Karrock. Disappointing EV range indeed; not as much as the BMW 330e (15 mi), Audi A3 Etron (16 mi) and the Ford C-Max Energi (18 mi) with similar battery size.
And I finally found out why it has a pressurized fuel tank, courtesy of a CAR write-up on the ActivTourer 225xe:
"it’s a specially pressurised steel tank [instead of plastic], allowing petrol to be stored safely for longer if you drive around on e-power most of the time."
Gas tank shrink from 16.1 gallons to 9.5 REALLY does a number on overall range when you can only eke 12 miles out out of the battery pack in EV mode. Which really negates its whole reasoning. Must have been designed with a larger battery pack in mind.
