Boot Mat in 2013 Countryman

I just received a Boot Mat for my Countryman JCW and it does not fit well at all. Does anyone know if the boot dimensions changed for the 2013 model?

that looks the same as how it fits my 2012 S. when i first for it i figured it would eventually contour in but it never has. it's a shame that something so simple was built with such shoddy tolerances. BUT... it is nice to keep the boot from getting krudded up.

*edit*
in case you didn't see it another another thread, here's the weather tech bootliner.

MUCH cleaner looking fit.

Yes. Too bad. I will return it.

If you zoom in on the image on this page, it looks like it fits very differently.

When we got our '13, we got the mats and I notice the rear cargo mat doesnt fit well. I will try it in my wifes '12 tonight to see if infact it does fit better.

I'm glad somebody mentioned this about the OEM boot mats not fitting properly. Mine curls up at the edge exactly the same way. This is really a POS product. In my GTI, I had the monster mats. Those were made of real beef, not soy like the MINI mats.

WeatherTech makes nice mats. My MINI one was "free" for filling out the survey. I might have to spring for a WeatherTech after seeing that picture. MINI one curls up especially with my spare tire sitting on it.

My Mom got me the Weatherech front and rear mats and my girlfriend got me the Mini version. Guy at the dealer said the mini version was made by weathertech but I never took them out of the box. I returned them and got the mini "S" boot mat which curls up on the side near the hatch, but I assumed it would sit flat after a while. Mine has never buckled like that one! It sits flat all the way across and I love it. But it does not look like that weather tech one. Had I known what that looked like I would have returned the weathertech mats and gotten their boot liner.

It fits sloppy in both. Seems they need the extra flat load floor or something. There's the groove around which makes it look goofy.

Might not fit perfect but glad I have it, had so much crap loaded and spilled in back with camping and bootgating that the fact it curls a bit is small issue to me. Having said that it is a bit of coin to spend at dealer to get a ill-fitting mat.

My Cooper S boot mat is actually too small, and the edges never folded flat. They're curled in on both sides.

On top of flat load floor?

Just to clarify. This mat looks like it is sitting on top of the flat load floor. Is that correct? I want a rubber boot liner like this that will fit down in the lower floor because I do not have the flat load floor above it.

thanks,

I missed this thread before I ordered mine. Now that I have it, I concur the Mini mat is junk. I will be upgrading to the weathertech.

I got the OEM mat as a giveaway from the dealer and noticed a likely reason why it fits so poorly aside from it being molded from cruddy/curling plastic.

My 2012 CMS has the bench seat with FLF and it seems the tray 'hovers' on the raised edges and does not sit well on the slightly lower FLF area. I think it was molded to specifically fit Countrymans with bucket seats and FLF only, as they have the board that makes the boot area truly flat without 'dip.'

I have the S mats too, but they don't fit any better with my rear bucket seats and flat load floor.

I thought the edges would settle over time, but no luck after a year, even after trimming the edges (which did help somewhat).

On the other hand, the front and rear footwell liners are thick, solid and fit really well. I wish the boot liner was the same quality.

My 2012 with rear bucket seats and flat load floor also has a partition pc that would normally be upright for privacy. Place that partition down where you can see into the cargo area and you place the mat on top the fit is flush, no creases no buckling.

Once you make the trunk private then it fits like absolute crap.

Heard they change a bit design of the boot on 2013, may be that is why people have the flat load floor issues. The dealer told me I can't even get that as an option. Who knows...

I received my WeatherTech package (with the the front and rear mats and the boot liner) earlier this week. The mats are near flawless, but it seems like the boot liner is not quite right. As others have mentioned, it comes rolled up. But even after giving it some time to relax it just doesn't seem to fit properly. This is on a '13 with the FLF and bench seats.

I wish I had thought to do this sooner. Changing the model year on the WeatherTech site does not change the part number. I can only assume this means they're using the same 'laser measurements' from '11. Same deal with the FloorLiners. But like I said, the latter seem to fit just fine.

weather techs boot mat sloppy fit

after dealing with the OEM mat for a year I ordered the Weather Techs and they are better but definitely not right....over all i would have to say it's about an inch to shallow where it interfaces with the hard plastic molding on the sides and at the rear (at the hatch) so close but no cigar.... nice quality though. interesting comment in the previous post ...i wonder how much difference is in the '11 verses my '12

Boot Trunk Mat for R60 ( I do NOT have the "Flat Load Floor" Option

I am in the same situation.. I have a 2013 R60 and I do not have the S4ULA (flat load floor) I have just the standard boot well and would like to get a fitted trunk mat for this style boot. What did you finally do? Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks, Johnny

I am also searching for the Boot Mat with no flat load floor. The only thing I found only available in UK. Anyone has any suggestion on how or where to buy it would be a great help. Thanks!

Well guys, I bought mine direct from the parts counter at my BMW/Mini dealer. They had them on sale for 25% off. And its fits like its 75% right! Curls up by the latch and the edges curl up and down the sides. But it has the Countryman S logo so it has to be right. Right?

yeah, that's how they fit. apparently they fit better with the illusive flat load floor option.
