"LOVESEXY: did you get the red trim interior or piano black trim with your polar beige color line? Any interior shots?"

A couple of quick shots I took. I went with the Piano Black trim and Chrome Interior. There is red stitching on the steering wheel, shifter and the floor mats. Also, from the driver's seat I can see the red trim on the door. There is also the JCW emblems on the door sills. Nice!!!!! When I sat in the car, it was the first one I sat in with the Anthracite headliner. Even though I have the moonroof, it is pretty dark. I am REALLY glad I brought the polar beige seats and color line into the car...really makes it look custom!

Thanks Trystana! The test drive went great as well. Drove so smooth with just the right amount of power. I can't wait to bring it home tomorrow! :-) Yours will be here...eventually... :-) Seems to take forever!!!!

Curious how the clutch is on the JCW. This would have been our next car had we not had so many problems with our manual ALL4. Sad really. I love the car save the clutch. Please let us know your honest opinions about the clutch on these new models!

Congrats. Stunning looking car.....

Quote: Greatgro, we were looking at the same 3 1/2 week delay that you were, but all of a sudden WW's website showed our car loaded on a non-WW ship called Swift Ace, which departed Bremerhaven on Thursday, and is going directly to Jersey City with no stops and is now scheduled to arrive in Jersey City early Saturday morning according to marinetraffic.com. Is it possible that your car is on the same ship? What do you see when you do a VIN search on WW's website today? This is only a guess, but it appears to us that WW may have subcontracted this voyage given the lack of departures from Bremerhaven during the holiday period.
Interesting....on the 21st my JCW got booked on the Turandot which was supposed to leave Germany on the 28th but apparently just left on New Years Day. So should arrive in Jersey City the weekend of the 12-13th.

Mine is still waiting to get on a ship but I hope maybe that happens this week.
Yeah I guess the paperwork thing is set which is great....
Trystana - my JCW got on the Turandot which left Germany yesterday....check the WW site with your VIN....maybe you're on it. I wasn't expecting this ship...they just added it...it was a surprise to me.

THe MINI's Polar white seats and inserts is the only white interior I've ever liked....and in fact love! But with a 4 year old and a dog there was just no way I could go with the white interior. But I truly think it looks amazing.

Hmm, I entered the VIN in the Cargo ID box and it said no records found.

When I check the schedule for ships leaving Bremerhaven (is that right?) and heading to Baltimore, it shows one leaving today (Courage), one leaving the 9th (Honor), and the next not until the 15th.

Arrival dates anywhere from the 16th to the 30th with those departures. Would I presumably be right in assuming I should be on one of those? Bummer that it didn't make it out with your ship! But exciting for you!

Lovesexy, how are you liking it now that you've been able to break her in a little?

Awesome! Can you confirm that in Sport mode it pops and burbles all over like the other JCW models do? That was, funny enough, one of my major reasons for going with another JCW. LOVE that sound with straight pipes.

So anyone with the JCW have a manual? How does the clutch feel?

Well she made it onto a ship yesterday after all! She's scheduled to arrive on 1/15 to Baltimore so I should have it in about 3 weeks!

Please keep posting pics of all the newly delivered ones. They look great!

The clutch feels much better...it engages like the other MINIs and the additional power is just what the Countryman needed to offset the additional weight. It does not pop & burble like our hardtop or the other JCW models and our cars don't roll unless the Sport button is <on>. We ordered the 19" wheels sight-unseen and glad we did. The jury is still out on the championship lounge leather.

Wait, it doesn't pop and burble? What the hell were they thinking?

Does it at least pop more than the normal ones did in sport?

The 19's are nice although I prefer the standard 18's. It's the optional 18's I thought were ugly. I had the lounge leather twice in loaner cars and felt it was the most comfortable leather car seats I've ever sat in and definitely the best I ever drove with. Didn't want to give those Countrymans back....

The red leather trim looks really nice in both the back and front seats IMO.

No pop & no burble which was a let-down. Our '12 MCS-4 popped & burbled like crazy and my '12 Hardtop S sounds awesome. It sucks to pay almost twice as much for the JCW and not get the cool sound effects.

Glad to hear from someone with experience with the lounge leather that they were a good purchase. I agree, the standard 18's do look better than the optional 18's.

Sucks is an understatement. I had an 03 MCS...no pop....had to get an aftermarket exhaust. I have an 08 S Clubman...no sound at all. I've heard a lot about the cool sounding JCW exhausts....I had high expectations. If I had know this I probably would have gotten an S countryman a year ago and modified it instead of waiting for the JCW.

But what I don't get is every article I've read about the JCW Countryman talked about how the engineers programmed the car to purposely pop and burble when letting up on the gas!!!!
