R60 Personal Settings Question

Personal Settings Question

Not having trouble with the personal settings as I am pretty familiar with the setting from my previous R56. However, one thing I have noticed in my owners manual is that for the door lock function there is an option to have both a visual and audible notice when the doors are locked. The parking light flash I have set, no problem. I can NOT find a setting for the audible (horn i assume?) so am hoping someone can clear this up for me. My guess is that it's either an error or a function that requires the factory alarm perhaps. Thanks for the assist...

I've seen this asked before, and it seems that the audible door lock requires the alarm.

Yep, requires the factory alarm. Your neighbors and co-workers will be thankful.

I, too, noticed this with my 2010 R56. Perhaps it's because they think we make enough noise without the horn beeping every time we lock or unlock.

It's not the horn that makes the sound it is a siren that actually makes a "beep" sound and if the alarm goes off the siren screeches rather than the horn bellowing.
