R60 What did you do to your Countryman TODAY?

Yesterday I got my first oil change at 3600 miles and had the dealer slap on some mudflaps. Oil and filter change, purchasing the new mudflaps and having them installed with a Costco 15% off coupon on parts and labor came to $211 out the door - which equaled about $40 for the flaps install. I installed my last vehicle's mudflaps myself but figured for $40 it was worth it since the rear wheels apparently have to be pulled. The dealer in Vegas wanted $260 for the flaps and install alone and no oil change! So it felt okay to let them do it in Escondido - plus their new dealership building is very comfortable while you wait.
My new beefy Michelin Pilot A/S Plus Sports get installed today or tomorrow.

Hey 1bigpea,
Aren't you the one with the killer aftermarket stereo? If so I really wish I could do that to mine.
As for the oil changes...first at 1500 to change out the break in and now at 7500. Sorry but I can not let a high rev/ lots of heat turbo 4 cyl engine go more than 6000 miles even on synthetic. It was already starting to look black.
So for $100 = added security. Also the shop that does my in-betwwen MINI service changes pointed out that my sump pan gasket is seeping. When it goes in for it's 13000 I'll have the dealer take a closer look unless I notice drips before then.
Good luck and enjoy your MINI.

I hear that, believe me I don't trust the interval at all either. I'll never question anyone's dedication to their ride, haha...I baby it for sure!
Bummer about the sump pan gasket, is that common with Mini's?

I have the Countrymen S black with full JCW body kit and red trim (mirror caps and front ducts are along with stripes). Added NM ecu flash adding 25-30 HP, (a difference u can really feel) also and just added NM lowering spings 4 days ago.
Alignment this Wednesday.
O by the way spent 6 hours detailing the car on Sunday and drove out to dinner. When we came out a big sand storm was coming into Phoenix and got me angry after all the hard work and sweat. Drove car home trying to beat the sand storm! Had car up to 120 mph (unless speedometer is off) and made it home B4 storm hit.
The NM ecu flash really helped out with this tasc.
Pics of car coming in a few days!

I actually did it last night...but finally got my stubby antenna and installed it. Still don't understand why that's not a standard. Looks so much better than the extended twisted antenna.
Also cleaned out the spilled soda from earlier....avoiding ranting about the uselessness of cupholders.
