Talking One week and 2600 miles. First impression.

Drove to Sebastian Fl and back and then some. Its bigger than i thought. Its quieter than i thought. No complains with RFT really. Ergonomics are BAD though. Makes it special, but still some thing are just silly. Handbrake wastes all space i could use to keep iP4. The whole connect and Nav thing is not intuitive. Wish they added buttons around dial (like they did in my M3 - Nav, radio, tel, back button). 26Mpg averaging 75-80mph.
Gas tank is a joke. Reminds me of my 07 ExigeS.
About to order snow rims/tires. Overall - I LOVE IT! Better than i thought. Low on power, but handles great. Lots of room for all of my skydiving gear.
This is a keeper until Cajun shows up (if ever)

Nice! Yeah the low on power bothers me quite a bit. Here's hoping for a JCW Stage 1 to give it a little more oomph in the future...

When you say "low on power" - what do you mean?

I just bought a mini too and was wondering if you had a major problem with turbo lag? When I to get on it, I down shift and punch it but the lag sit around for about 1.5 to 2 secs.. is that normal? can i speed that lag up?
Also when I run on the sport setting the something makes a rubbing sound when i go from stop to 1st. Usually when im turning but its all stock so i dont think its the tires?... Any help?

i just hit 1250 miles and love it. i have it in sport mode most of the time since i hit 1200, unless i am just cruising around. cant nitpick anything yet. I hear people complaining about the runflats but i have not noticed anything bad yet. i will never own any other car brand. i would buy the coupe but i need the ride height.

From my test drives, it's sluggish. The All4 is burdened by its weight for that engine, and I'm not the only one that thinks so as many reviews have said the same. 0-60 in 8 seconds is a bit disappointing, don't you agree? Add in the turbo lag too. Sure once you're going it's tons of fun, especially on the curves, but I'd still like a wee bit more power under the hood.

Gotcha. We're deciding between the "s" stick vs. the regular auto (live in a busy city). We felt the auto reg. wasn't as powerful (obviously) as the "s" but not sure how often we would need a bump of power like that with all city driving. Good to hear impressions after breaking yours in!

We have our new CM for about a month now. We live in Vegas and Love our CM S with auto...I test drove also the non-turbo since at first I thought that engine would be sufficient for most of our city driving. I was immediately sold after driving the S, though.

You won't regret if you go for the S (even the auto). I decided to go for the non AWD since it puts too much weight on the car.
