Mass Airflow

I have a question for the forum. Way back in the day I use to have a 1990 5.0 Mustang GT and one of the upgrades we could do to gain more power was swap out the stock MAFC for a Cobra MAFC. I believe because it was larger more air was fed to the motor. I am wondering if this would work on our new Mini's? I am just learning this tuner thing so bare with me please.

Thanks in advance for your help

JB+ from Berger Tuning is going to handle that electronically with a chip. Probably a similar idea except it is controllable and safe?

The stock MAF is capable of over 300+hp. I want to say close to 400hp. It's a turbo so its sucking in air a lot faster than a N/A engine.

The biggest blockage on the stock setup is the tune. Tune it and it'll wake up. Next would be downpipe/exhaust and the small stock turbo. There are many aftermarket upgrades for the turbo, up to 47mm (the OE is 38mm).

Beyond that, you'll need to start building your engine.
