Down pipe ideas?

Hey guys, I was wondering what is the best down pipe for the money? I was thinking of going for a catless down pipe. None of the ones I have looked at specify how much hp you actually gain. What do u guys think?
(Mini R61 S FWD with JB+)

Thanks

We make our own catless downpipe but personally for a street car I prefer the Akrapovic as it has a 100 cel cat and keeps it quieter for daily use and less drone. HP and torque numbers are hard to predict as each car is different and the other mods and tuning will actually determine your gains. I can tell you on bone stock cars with the downpipe being the only mod we have gained as much as 13 ft lbs of torque just adding the downpipe.

you know you got a CEL with a catless DP or the Akra DP if you dont have a Akra DeleteR or a Software like the Manic?

or you go with a special 200-cell DP which doesnt produce the CEL.

Down pipe ideas?

I think iPE makes one but I'm not sure if it will cause a CEL.

If you put a DP on then you might as well go ahead and get a tune.

I couldn't find anything for the R60 on their website, and HI doesn't have any resident Mini tuners 😕. I went with the JB+ option because I'm a little hesitant to overnight my ECU to anyone.
Trying to avoid the $300 extra needed just for the Akrapovic CEL delete chip when going catless.

I just had a Milltek DP with cat installed on my 2010 Clubman s, also added a 90 degree O2 adaptor from Mini mania. I do not have a CEL,I did not try it out without the adapter so I do not know if it did anything or not.

sorry wrong forum

Are the downpipes different for the R60?

I believe it's the same downpipe as the rest of the MINIs and only different after the downpipe.

Upon a little research, I think you're correct. Thanks for the help!

Yes they are the same. We use the Akrapovic and an ECU tune.

AR Design makes a 200 cell downpipe that is 3" and necks down to 2.5" after the cat. Been running it for the past 10 months or so.

I've been running the WMW for over a year and its been great. It is catless so I do get drone, but I'm not bothered. This year I took it off for a short while and had it ceramic coated to help keep temps down. I'm very happy with it
