Hey all, I'm meeting with Powertrain Industries today so they can check out the driveshaft on my All4 so they could potentially make one for our vehicle.

They make ACPT's driveshafts, so if you know about their products you'll know it quality. I ran one on my E46M3 and made the response amazing and allowed a little more power to the ground.

Update.

They checked it, very possible to get something going.

We ordered an OE driveshaft so they can start the R and D. Should arrive this Tuesday (Dec 2nd).

They mentioned price, for an entire carbon fiber driveshaft will be right around $1750. That's an estimate, could be lower if we can build a group buy.

So far, counting me, I have 3 people on the list. There is no min, or max, but I figure the more people interested the better pricing will be. They are definitely open to a group buy.

If you know any CM All4 owners into motorsports, or just modding, and might be interested in fixing a weak point in the driveshaft, lightening it up and getting more power to the ground... post here in this thread! :D

The company in So Cal couldn't do it, they have a partner on the east coast that can. By the time I had gotten word (about 3-4 months later) I was extremely busy with my business so I didn't have time to follow through at that time.

Still a possibility, not too hard to get done according to them. At least for the east coast guys.

 

I'm still working on this! I contacted them yesterday, looking to pick up the DS to ship to their east coast counter part. Hopefully I can get some traction this year.
