Forge BOV - Atmospheric versus Recirc

So I swapped out my BOV with a Forge BOV about 6-7 months ago. I was reading some thread somewhere that made me realize that the Forge unit I put in was a true BOV that dumps into the atmosphere versus the one that recirculates. I have never gotten a CEL or had any issues but I am wondering which is better. I have heard the recirc is best for the Mini but why? Am I loosing power with a BOV that dumps into the atmosphere?

From my understanding on the Forge BOV that it is both a DV and BOV. It dumps some back into the system and some to the atmosphere.

I just installed the one type atmosphere, and realized I lost some power in low rpm torque. Not sure how much I lost on total power...
Sound is pretty impressive though, just do not want to lose hp and torque...

Spoke to Forge last week and they said it should not matter which one we use?

That's because either way it is merely an expensive soundmaker

That's weird, I have that adapter one as well and I didn't feel a loss of anything, just noises to scare Hondas.

Got it for half price so I said hell, why not. No CELS for the N18's which I still haven't figured out why. I know n14's had issues with them.
