Non-kit intake mods?

After looking into the build of my own airbox delete, I have been wondering about one thing. The sensor right after the box, and the tube that connects TO the box. I don't think I can just clamp on an angle and cone filter onto that flange. Not sure if anyone has experimented with it before? Without the car in front of me, I'm not sure if I can just screw that sensor in a new tube or not. I see NM air intake ( http://www.waymotorworks.com/nm-engi...-2011-mcs.html ) has a plate that the flange bolts to...but not sure how they got the filter to attach. :-/

I think NM moves it due to fitment issues. If you look at the DOS intake, they just have a silicone coupler that attaches to that sensor and then their intake.

I was thinking about making a CF tube/flange to connect the stock sensor tube too. Use silicone tubes for the rest. SHould be easy enough!
