Exhaust tips Q:

It drives me crazy every time I detail the car to notice my stainless steel exhaust tip aren't aligned. One is more pushed in than the other.

Does anyone know if they can be easily adjusted, pushed further in or out? It looks like there might be a screw underneath but I have not touch it yet. With corrosion I don't like to disturb fasteners unnecessarily at risk of breaking something.

I might be looking at new chrome tips as well if that's the case...

My JCW's aren't properly aligned either even though they are the actual pipes coming out of the box and not slip on tips like the Cooper S. In the S there should be screws at the end of the tips that hold them in place, so get under the car and try to locate them. Once located you can loosen them up a little, align the tips and retighten.

That's what I was told. I haven't had a chance to take care of it just yet with the winter.
Thanks!

It doesn't look like there will be much adjustment. I looked at this when you first posted. The tips do slide on and there is a screw but it goes thru a hole limiting the amount of adjustment. I have the Akrapovic exhaust and have the stock exhaust hanging around. If there is any thing you what me to check let me know.

Hey thx for the offer. I do appreciate that!
I'm okay if I have to drill and possibly tap an other hole but I will still need enough movement for that to happen. I won't know until I try, I think...

You will probably have to open the hole on the exhaust with a dremel, so you can get the adjustment you need for the tip. It's a welded on bracket with a hole in it if I remember correctly.
