Will an R56 exhaust fit R59?

Just a quick question - will an R56 fit an R59 (MCS) without modification? I looked at the part numbers of the stock system and they are exactly the same. However when I spoke to Scorpion exhausts they couldn't confirm if it would fit or not..

Thanks

If the R56 exhaust is also the MCS version, I'm fairly certain the answer is "yes" but you might want to get confirmation from another source.

I recently retrofitted part of a MCS exhaust (from the straight section behind the cat to the tail pipes) to my MC Roadster. I did this because I wanted to install the GP Rear Diffuser and so I needed to centerline the aft end of the exhaust system in order to accommodate the diffuser. The MCS part cleared the R59 cross bracing without any issues. The underbody mounting locations for the exhaust hangers are identical. I also discovered that the header flange is slightly different between the MC and MCS which is why I kept my OEM pipe from the cat forward.

I've been checking on this same thing, and getting different results. One says that as long as it is for the S, or JCW it will fit, but maybe have to use some thick washers under the braces to gain space, and yet others say, as long as it's for those models, all should be great. I'm of the feeling that if it fits the coupe, then it shouldn't all that much different for the Roadster, but I'm still checking. I'm having a source check with the Miltek Representative for a difinitive answer on this. They work closely with Mini in GB, so they should be able to get the answer.

Exhaust

I just installed a Quicksilver Sport exhaust on my R59S. When I ordered it I ordered the part number for the R58S which also was to fit the R59S. The R56S had a different part number and when I received my exhaust it had the R56S part number on it. I contacted Quicksilver and was assured that the two exhausts were the same and the R56S exhaust would fit. Sure enough it fit with no problems or alterations.
By the way, I dealt directly with Quicksilver and couldn't be happier with their service and product quality. They FedEx'd the unit to me on one evening from GB and I had it delivered to my door by noon the very next day. I'm in Ohio so depending on where you live it might take a little longer.
Another positive note is with shipping I paid less than $920.00. Price can vary due to exchange rate when you pay for it. I didn't have any charges for tax or duty.
I really like the sound, fit and quality.
I don't have a way to record the sound or I would post it but now it sounds like a sports car.
Sorry for the long answer.
