R59 How many miles on your roadster?
#26
Not quite there yet but we're getting up there... now standing at 47,000k
The biggest issue is that I'm having to find ways for my wife to use it less. Soon to be 4yrs and soon to be 50k. It's getting used too fast!
Of course it would help if I didn't like doing long road trips with it. We can easily do a 5th or a 4th of our yearly mileage in one trip...
. . . but that's the fun part so we'll keep doing that for as long as it lasts.

2013 JCW R59... We've owned our Roadster about a month now and the miles are rolling on faster than I thought, especially since this was just supposed to be a weekend/fun car. I guess we're having lots of fun! Got it in the mid 12k mile range and now she's just turned over 14k. Still not bad for a 2013.

Wow....that is cool. Usually when I find an older motorcycle with low mileage on it, I feel better if I freshen up all the fluids along with a thorough safety inspection. Sometimes the low mileage can have a bad side especially if the car was in a damp or humid environment.
There is a 2013, red, jcw coupe with 17k miles for sale here in the atlanta area. Automatic. Otherwise nice, original car, clean carfax, not mine, at dealer.

I have just over 86,000 miles on my 2013 that I just bought from the mini dealer. One owner, she had all her work done at the dealership so, that is good, they know the car. Perusing the boards to see what I will need to look out for at these miles... but honestly, it is SUCH a blast to drive!! And actually much nicer, even quieter, with the top down. Steering is crisp and on center, engine is super responsive, brakes are great.
I will be putting lots more miles on this one... let's hope I can keep it running. :D

Nice! I really think if a car/truck is well taken care of it can last quite a long time. I had a Dodge Ram with close to 200K on it and it still ran like new.

Anytime I read of issues with these N18 engines it is usually not due to an internal part giving out. You'll always find the occasional leaking seal or gasket, but otherwise, with a maintenance schedule adjusted for conditions and usage, your engine should be capable of more miles than what you can roll up during your ownership. When I was in my early car buying days, an engine with 50k miles on it was already gasping it's last breath. Today's gasoline engines, even those from General Motors and Ford, are just getting their second wind at 100k miles. Keep your engine happy with quality maintenance parts and expect it to have a long, healthy life!

New to me 2013 Red Roadster:
I looked through prior owners records and here are the major issues at miles:
58k Spark Plugs
62k Upper radiator hose; Left front axle seal
90k Water Pump
91k Thermostat and Thermostat housing
113k Spark Plugs
147k Replaced Cam, oil adjuster, and valve cover
157k Thermostat and Thermostat housing
Since I've had it Spark Plugs and Heater Blower motor resistor (did myself).

I called my sales person (my first mistake I guess) to get a rundown on the vehicle maintenance history. She said "oh don't worry it will tell you when you need service". And I said "yes I know, but I want to see what OTHER services have been performed, like new tires, windshield, etc."
Didn't get a response. I think I will drive over to mini after work some time this week and go straight to the service manager.
I assume it has been well taken care of since all service was done at the dealer but I still want to know what all that service entailed. Am I wrong? Am I being a jerk? I can be a jerk some times.

They can release some record over the phone but they can't release like personal information or anything. Carfax will pull up most if not all MINI service, its the service done by the owner on there own its hard to track down.

Our '15 Roadster S...
Now at 46k miles since purchased new, and with regular fluid changes, only the battery has failed and was recently replaced under warranty (a previous warning light had the dealer recharged it and it "passed" but would not do so again...so MINI replaced it under warranty). I change oil at 5k intervals and at 2-3 year mark, replaced brake fluid and ATF. We've enjoyed it immensely on last two MTTS trips.
