I see lots of them in my area of Wisconsin. Last weekend, I saw one in the Gays Mills area (popular for apple orchards) with Iowa plates on it. it was pepper white with red rally stripes. Both our tops were up due to temps and some slight moisture in the air.
I flashed my lights and waived as I always do.

Was it this one?

If so, it's hemisedan -- a fellow enthusiast who hails from the Des Moines area.
I always love heading up to Gays Mills during apple festival time. For that matter, I like that area any time of the year. Plenty of really great motoring roads to be enjoyed.

I'd say it was!
My wife and I traveled some really great roads in that area! I'm guessing that you've been to the Mindoro Cut? Also the area south of Spring Green along Hwy T off 23 is lots of fun and is colorful this time of year.
Hope to see you at MITO,
Jud

After thinking about it, I do remember you. We had just loaded up on Gays Mills apples. Too bad the weather was a bit moist, we might have been able to stop and chat. We go up yo Gays Mills every year, about this time. Wisconsin roads are pretty nice, plus the curves. Even Olga enjoyed my pushing the little roadster around the bends. Too bad some people don't appreciate opening up the Minis in the curves. Anyway, say hi next time. Oh yes, you were by me before I could acknowledge you.Originally Posted by Judscoop

Hey Hemisedan! Sorry I missed you that day perhaps you were wiping your mouth after biting into a big juicy apple and not watching out for fellow R59's on the roadway!
Let me know the next time you're headed towards Wisconsin perhaps we could meet up and travel a few twisties together. I know where there all hidden LOL!
Are you going to MITO this year?

I see one just about everyday. When I open up my garage door. A little humor there.Originally Posted by Tall_dude

I've never seen another one in the flesh (other than at Eastern Iowa Mini club events. See pic from last weekend...photo taken by Gil-galad. His R59 is in front, mine is behind.)https://www.flickr.com/photos/gmm57/14892220613/
Here in Des Moines, I saw a red S a couple of weeks ago, mines Pepper White with red stripes all the way thru the bumpers, both front and rear. Yes, they were applied special. Thinking about it, the only JCW exterior packed roadster that I've seen in Iowa is Gary's in Decorah. Mines got all the JCW stuff on it. Just not many out there.

I just saw a Lightening Blue Roadster last night, on Harlem Ave in Orland Park (IL).
He/she had some fun blue LED lights and some kind of business lettering on the rear window (it's chilly so the top was up).
Unfortunately, we were 1/2 a block away in the wife's Mazda, so there was no wave.

On our way to my sisters for Easter, got off 287 at Ringwood ave in north jersey and saw 4 Roadsters within a minute or so on Ringwood Ave!
One white and three blue ones I think, I've seen maybe 5-10 in the 1-1/2 years we've owned ours!
We weren't in ours as there was 4 of us!
Was anyone getting together for an Easter egg hunt😄

i saw a brand new red one on I5 going down to LA a couple months ago... i believe it was from mini of ontario. we did a nice little "what's up?" head bob and a wave at each other, and then he drove on. i also see my friend's every couple weeks (2012/3 BRG).

red justa roadster on my way though my hometown. we both had our tops down so we talked a little bit while idling at the light - nice older guy. was pretty bummed when i told him they stopped production on them. told him about the board. got his on a trade-in and wanted an s. told him to check around, and then the light changed.
