2012 jcw r58

Been out of the mini cooper world for a number of years, having owned a few roadsters and countrymen in the past.

Recently stumbled across what looks like a clean 2012 JCW Coupe, and I am considering taking a look at it.

It has a clean Carfax, with a significant service history, but has 106k miles. Asking price is $10k.

Am I crazy?

$10k sounds high, even for a JCW. The 2012 has an N14 engine, and the price should reflect that. Expect having to perform a timing chain service, at the least.

My thoughts exactly, as all of my previous cars were equipped with the N18, and none of them stayed around long enough to travel 100k miles.

If it was an N18 JCW, it might be worth $10k. But no way with the N14.

I have a 2012 R58 equipped with the N18
Look at the sticker under the hood.

2012 was a transition year. The Cooper S models shipped with the N18 engine, but the JCW models were still being built with the N14 engine. Your Coupe looks to be a Cooper S model.
