Hello, i hope you guys can help me with this.
My wife's r58 is leaking a little bit of coolant (not heavy but seems to get worse), and once i looked at it i was able to find where i think it's coming from. It's a little connector that seems to be in the coolant lines, it's right above where the oil filter is.
So, first question would be, how's it leak? Is there maybe a o-ring in there or something? I i knew what the (electrical?) connector was i could find someting about it.
Second, so if it's a electrical connector (sensor?), then why is there nothing hooked up to it? We bought the coupe second hand, so don't have a clue what all's been done to it..
Hopefully somebody may know what's going on with this by looking at the pics, or if someone can steer me in the right direction on this. I can't find anything about it, heck i don't even know what it's called.. lol
Anyway, any help is much appreciated.
Thanks, Fred
Edit: i guess i should've added more info. It's a R58 Coupe S. Looking at the hose it's connected to it, looks like it's the upper radiator hose, hard to see, but i think the other side may go to the thermostat? If nothing else, if someone can maybe look at the same area i'm talking about and see what their's looks like? Any help sure appreciated.

I'm guessing it's the "T" plastic piece that connects the hose from the reservoir, Turbo, and thermostat. See illustration, #5 and #9. I just replaced mine a couple days ago because that plastic piece was cracked.
I have it figured out by now. It took me a bit of digging in the R56 forum part. Apparently when they manufactured the cars, they did a design change to the position of the temp sensor that controls the fan. They moved it from the metal elbow, like ours shows, to a spot on the new thermostats. And in doing so, they left this spot in the upper radiator hose that is prone to leaking.
My new o-ring actually came in this week, and will be changing it today. Only thing is it's so tight in there, i may need to move the coolant reservoir and or ecu out of the way to get my hands in there.
I ordered the part on ebay (others have it as well though), URO Parts 13621433077S
