Removing bonnet stripes

My stripes are faded.

My scoop has no stripes - so I assume the scoop was replaced.

But the stripes run under the scoop.

If I remove them will there be any visible stripe?

Pic for reference.

Not my car but same stripes. Just wondered if anyone else has removed these particular stripes without removing the scoop.

When I removed mone you could see where the stripes used to be. I'm going to clay, compound then polish this car and that should take care of it. It's just a faint difference in the paint.

that will work if all you are seeing is haze on the clear

but if the shadow is because the color faded you can polish til the cows come home and it won't make a difference as the color is under the clear coat ....

I am fine with some fading. Hate the beat up stripes!

I don't know if the sport stripes changed as time went on. The ones on our 59 look like the picture and do not go 'under' the scoop

but as seen here, the sport stripes on my 7-S hard top did

they don't really go under the scoop ... they just roll over the edge and do not go OVER the scoop. You should be able to get everything off without removing the scoop, but in worst case it is no big deal to remove it .. just a few fasteners and it will pop right back in place.

Is that a lemonade stand across the street that didn't pay their vig?

Mine looked like this. I removed them. You can barely see where they were.
