Off-Road Tires & Rims

Can anyone suggest some off-road tires and rims for me? I'm thinking about putting a set of chunky Jeep Wrangler type of wheels on for the winter. I have a wide body kit on my 2013 R58 Coupé and I'm presuming since I want thicker tires that I would need smaller rims. Any ideas?

Thanks guys!

If you have a Cooper S you'll probably need 16s to clear the brakes. If you have a JCW you're looking at 17s with the right offset and internal design. You may be better served in the winter with Blizzaks or Nokia Hakkapellitas or some other dedicated winter tire, to be honest. It will probably be much more bearable on regular wet or dry roads where you'll probably be spending the vast majority of your time after the plows have done their job. I run Blizzaks on my Roadster with no issues.
There's also the temperature to consider, winter tire compounds are formulated to work in the cold ( below 40F) whereas regular tires lose grip as it gets cooler. You would need the winter version of whatever you chose.
Having said all that, it would certainly be unique on knobbly tires!

My vehicle is a Cooper S. I'll look into those tires for sure, but I totally was hoping for an insanely chunky tire that sticks out from my wide body flares. lol

At some point in the far, far future I'd like to convert my vehicle to an ALL4 instead of being FWD. Did some research on it already...would need to get a donor Countryman and use some parts from that and begin some magic. :D

Are you looking for actual grip in winter conditions or just for appearance's sake?
I drive my Coupe in the winter (in Wisconsin!)- for best performance, do not buy wider tires. You are better off with skinnier tires. Like skis, they'll cut through the snow.
Since you have an S, you'll need at least 16's, as Spiney suggested.
I have run Blizzak in winter for the life of the car, but I plan on buying Hakkas when my Blizzaks are used up.
