Coupe glove box................

Where is the key lock?

It seems there is none and the same for the pass through door for cargo.

Am I right?

Page 30, R/H column says,
The integrated key fits the following locks:
▷ Driver's door, refer to page 34.
▷ MINI Convertible, MINI Roadster: glove
compartment, refer to page 118.
▷ MINI Convertible: lock of rear seat backrest,
refer to page 116.
▷ MINI Coupe, MINI Roadster: through-load‐
ing opening, refer to page 117.

It works on mine.

Good catch. I only looked at the glove box. BTW, the through-load opening is on page 116 in the 2012 manual and the convertible backrest is on 117. The references on page 30 are incorrect. Sigh.

Thanks for the info.

It is better than nothing. The side glass on the Mini Coupe is very thin. A locking glove box would also have make sense.

You could transplant the R59 locking glovebox but you would nee to get the coded key and lock from a MINI dealership, they would need you info.

My 2013 JCW Coupe has a lock on the pass-thru from the trunk but no lock on the glove box.
