Anyone install a rollbar / cage for track use in their R58??

I'm thinking about getting more serious about tracking my car. I would like the extra piece of mind of having a rollbar installed in my car in case I make a large booboo at the track. I also would like a harness to strap myself in.

I've seen that some people have installed a harness bar, but I have been unable to find anything about installed rollover protection for the R58.

Has anyone done this?

If I remove the plastic divider between the cockpit and the hatch is that just empty space or are there structural elements underneath that?'

Am I stupid and should I just buy a used GP2 and have a bar installed in that?

interested to see - curious about your total build, purpose, etc. im not aware of anyone with a roll cage in their coupe, though i think the bspec minis run cages.

surprised you're about to turn your brand new car into a track toy - might as well start cheaper no?

Never seen it in a R58 yet , its would have to be custom. Do you require it for your class ?

There is only a harness bar available from autopower. Not even on their site u have to call and ask. Under the plastic is pretty decent structure. If u go to realoem and look in the body section u will see it. A bar can be made but it will be a one off for sure. Tight roofline we deal with.

Good luck!
