2013 jcw transmission/MCS differences manual?

Are there differences or same transmission with the n18 in the JCW OR MCS?

It is a good question for the experts. I believe the clutch must be a bit stronger to handle the additional output of the engine but I would guess it is the same gearbox.

i know the JCW's have a dual mass flywheel now...

I don't remember where I saw it, but I did see somewhere that the top gear ratio is slightly different in the JCW cars. I traded a 2011 S for my 2013 JCW, and the new car does seem to turn a few more revs in top gear compared to what I remember from the same speed in the old car. No documentation to prove that though.

Ya, I think overall there are differences between 12 and 13 trans, my 12 jcw drives completely different from the 13 gp, tranny wise, lighter clutch, better shifting and slightly lower revs
