Mini Fini Hitch "Revealed"

Some have asked what does the Mini Fini look like especially removed? Here are some photos.

Here is the hitch on the S Coupe but really they will fit all Minis. Tight fit not getting rattles. But easy to take on and off. Key hole is covered and looks like the kind used to open a Coke Machine. When not towing bicycle trailer I keep the Super Bumper installed to take impact at 5 MPH. Two small holes drilled. Attaches to frame and is stronger than the DMOR hitch. I had it installed at Way Motor Works. And yes you can plug those holes with a black plug that blends right in. Plenty of clearance when the hitch is on the car, no rubbing to rear bumper. Level, straight, no issues. You can have any size receiver hitch. Nice option very little cosmetic change to the car over all.

Here is the Mini Fini removed.

Close up of the removed hitch. Just two little nickel places to insert it and it locks in place. Without key you can't take it off!

And here it is with the Super Bumper installed

If you don't mind me asking How much did this set you back. Part and installation? Looks like something I might be interested in.

Mini Fini

As I recall you need the Sport Link $324, then the arm $228 and a hitch option like the 2" receiver $81.95 and I recall install was around $300. That put it at about $934 in total. You can find the details on the Mini Fini website. I am sure others here can tell you if they have installed them and how difficult that process is as they fit any Mini so I am sure some have done their own work.

Not cheap but if you have to have a hitch and want it to look good on or off the car this was my choice.
