Fitting Aux gauges

Planning to fit Prosport water temp & boost gauges next week and I'd be interested if anyone has already done this - I was looking for any tips you may have.
Boost looks like a straight forward fit but not sure where to break into the cooling system - kit hasn't arrived yet but I understand there is a joint under the header tank where you fit the sender?
Any suggestions for picking up power for the lighting?

Why? You do realize that modern cars remove stuff like that now & only tell you when somethings wrong?

Of course I realise the car will tell me if there's a problem. If I was worried about the health of the engine I'd go for an oil pressure setup instead.

I'm only interested in knowing when the engine is warm enough to start giving it some stick. The boost gauge is only for fun.

How about getting the Torque app for a mobile phone and buying a OBD / Bluetooth adaptor. https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...g.prowl.torque

Setup costs are minimal £15.00 & u can check for fault codes & reset them also. I have this app myself and a cheapo OBD / Bluetooth adaptor, its very good. And yes, it tells you when your temp reaches optimal for high speed fun.

Sigh....

Booster tap

Gauge mounts if you don't already have an idea...

Patagonian, I'm hoping that you are old school like me and just like a gauge. The kit has the wiring you will need. Good luck and Motor On, brother, from the colonies!

Thanks for suggestion Tabintab but it just wouldn't suit me, I know I would drive off with the phone in my pocket every time and as Melangell says you can't beat an old school gauge :-)
Gauges have been mounted and electrics sorted (on paper at least). In reality you don't need the constant 12v supply as stated in the instructions unless your gauges have a memory function (which mine don't) so gauge and lighting can both be run from any ignition controlled accessory.
