R58 No ESN number for satellite radio - Where is antenna?
No ESN number for satellite radio - Where is antenna?
Hi all,
Just had my fixed wing installed at the dealership today. Got it back and satellite radio is dead as a doornail. Is the antenna for that located in the wing or something? It doesn't even display an ESN number anymore. Sirius/XM couldn't jump start it over the phone either.
Why on earth would this happen with a wing install unless the antenna is located there or disabling the wing switch disabled all satellite functions?
I've got to take it back to them tomorrow but if it's something simple I can do myself it will save me the hassle and the trip.

Not sure why putting a spoiler on the car would mess with the sat antenna. The antenna is the hump forward of the slotted area at the top of the rear glass. The area that is hard to clean. Know what I mean. No where near the spoiler or where the new spoiler would mount.
I posted a new thread about he issue and it looks like two other people also lost their radios when having their Coupes ECU updated for spoiler changes. Now it sounds like a bug in the software. Both had to have their radios replaced under warranty.
