I have had my car since May and for the first several months I would never hear the spoiler close. In the last couple of months i hear it slam shut when it finishes closing. I really want to get the software update so I can keep it up all the time. Has anyone experienced this?

 

Have you taken it to your dealer regarding those issues? Maybe with the update, it could help.

 

Not yet, I'm going to bring it in sometime in January.

 

I just returned from the dealer and they told me they do don't know of any software update that will keep the spoiler up. I'm alittle baffled as to why they do not know about it!

 

Did you mention that you can hear it slam shut & ask them why it started making audible noise? That sounds like a problem to me. One they should address.

 

Yes I did, he checked some new ones on the lot and they were quiet but he checked a couple in service and they made some noise. He chalked it up to being normal but I call bs but who knows. I guess you can't expect a quiet car if you buy a mini.

 

Since day 1 I could hear that little sucker slamming shut.

I say there's no need to worry.
