Alta FMIC install help - tips?

I have the intercooler installed into the boost piping. The problem I am having is getting the bumper back on correctly.

Did anyone have to trim anything from the bumper or anything? I can get the top 4 torx screws on but the bottom/under car screws dont line up properly.

The bumper seems to be at an angle looking something like this /

Any tips?

I had to trim some prices off of the lower grill to get mine to fit. Also, if the outside air thermometer is still installed in the lower grill, that will have to be moved.

Could you tell me which pieces you ended up trimming? The ambient temperature sensor on my bumper is located in the bottom of the bumper pointing down, through it.

Well, for some reason I didn't notice you have a JCW, however, whatever is protruding from the grill between the break ducts will need to be removed. Unfortunately I did this on an S, which had no break ducts, so that is the best I can give you. Sorry, I should have read what your car was before I responded. Also, did you follow the ALTA instructions? Part of the radiator mount needs to be trimmed to get the intercooler to fit properly; if you didn't do that.

Here is a link to the installation instructions. If this does not answer your questions post here so we can discuss more.

Thanks for the PDF. I used this document to install the intercooler. It seems more for the S bumper and not the JCW bumper. I cut the suggested plastic pieces off as well and have the intercooler mounted properly. It just seems as if the bottom half of the bumper will not push back far enough to reach the screws underneath.

I think steps 20-22 may be my issue. These diverter tabs, which I guess are just the small nubs poking back towards the radiator?

I can't speak specifically to the Alta, but I recently installed the aero bumper on my S which had the Helix FMIC already installed. Seems everything went together OK with a little encouragement on the lower half. I also added the brake duct kit at the same time integrated with the bumper.
