R58 Carbon Build Up Issue??

I have searched and searched this site but I remember around 8/30 (because I was leaving on vacation) that a shop in California was searching for an R58 with higher mileage to pull intake off and check for carbon build up to see if catch can is really needed on this engine. Anyone know which company this is or why I cant find initial thread? I know they found someone and were going to let us know what they found after tear down......any help would be great, I want to be proactive and prevent any build up by getting catch can IF it is really needed!

Check out Clint's new invention:

I have it on my 08' Clubbie and my goodness what a mess it cleaned out of my system. Very easy to use and visible results.

Yes, I know it is for the N14 engine but he mentioned that he will have one for the N18 before the end of the year.
