Roadster vs. (reposting in "roadster")

I need some thoughts as to the differences in driving the Roadster vs. Convertible.

I have a MINI Cooper Convertible which needs replacing- this week!

I don't need back seats, but the Roadster with the top up felt more claustrophobic than the convertible.

Anyone have experience with both who can compare the comfort and driving of each?

I live in the northeast where the top will be up a lot of the time, but when the weather is the slightest bit good...

Thanks,

dumb S

No experience with the convertible but love my roadster. Don't feel claustrophobic at all but that's probably a personal thing. I've heard the roadster has less wind blow back but can't confirm that. Did you drive the roadster, how did it compare to what you are used to?

I will test drive tomorrow.

I have read that the interior is much noisier than the convertible when the top is up because it is a single layer.

How do you find driving it with the top up (if you ever do)?

The reviews had me worried about noise in the cabin too. I don't think it is much noisier than any car. I really don't notice it at all.

Is the roadster as "year round" as the cabrio? It feels like the insulation is too thin to be anything other than a 3 season car. I see MINI cabrios enduring Canadian winters but looking forward to responses from roadster owners once winter hits.
