R58 Display: Mileage, temp, etc...
Display: Mileage, temp, etc...
Not sure where to ask this and search terms were a little too generic to turn up anything useful...
Unfortunately, my 2010 JCW Clubman was totaled a week ago
and I just took delivery of a 2012 S Coupe.
On my beloved little Clubby, on the display in the tach, I could get the temp (time, etc.), the odometer, what gear the Clubby was in and the trip odometer on the same screen.
On my new Coupe, I can only get the temp (time, etc.), the odometer, and the gearing. The trip odo only seems to display when I push the little button.
Can I get the trip odo on the 2012 screen too? That's what I use mostly to determine how soon I'll be needing gas.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have an 08 Clubman and noticed the same thing with my new coupe. The display seems a bit less wide now so there is no option I've found to show trip odometer along with the regluar odometer and other choices I'm used to.

Thank you.
It's a running change... Older cars that get re-flashed will show this same behaviour. I posted a bulletin from MINI Canada about this in the Countryman forums.
In a nutshell, the bottom right corner location you're talking about (where the odometer used to reside) is now reserved for informational icons and alerts (e.g. you'll now see the "auto wipers" symbol there now when it's engaged).
By the way, you can also see the odometer by toggling thru the choices with the left stalk button; you don't have to push the odometer button.

Oh, yah. I didn't have any problems finding it, I was just wondering if there was a menu option I was missing or something. :dunno
