R57 Roof Lobster claw issue.
Roof Lobster claw issue.
Have a 2010 R57, The passenger side lobster claw that locks the roof in place is malfunctioning. The lower half of the claw will not retract or engage correctly. I have to physically move it to its operational position for the claw to lock when I close the roof. Everything is lubricated, no fabric is bunched up anywhere to freeze movement. I took the motor off and it runs as intended. When I took off the motor the passenger side Bowden cable sprung like it was under tension. I lubed the drive gear on the motor, reinstalled it and the claw operated fine for one or two complete cycles, then it revert back to the original problem. Any ideas for troubleshooting this issue. has anyone replaced the Bowden cable before, instructions?
