So we are moving from an '08 Cooper S onto a '11 Cooper S Convertible

We have a Pepper White with
Cold weather Package
Sports Package (dealer is swapping out Black Bullets for Black Crown Spokes for us) (little more aggressive looking in my opinion)
Xenon with blacked out housing
H/K sound
interior body color (hope I like that!!) not sure about it....
headlight washers, rain sensors
sport stripe
few other little things
Dealer located it on ship before it got to port, so now we just wait..and wait...LOL

I have been looking for some scuttles, mirror caps (LOVE the carbon fiber) but more then $500 bones is pretty steep to me!

I am undecided about which body accessory's would look best (looking for more on the tough end, then "cute" end LOL)

Wait, so you ordered a clubman or a convertible?

I'm on my second PW / W MINI, and I've found that more than many other colors I think you have to be gently with exterior mods that add color. It SOUNDS like a neutral base color, but it really isn't as it has some cream in there. For example, on my 06mcs I was all hot to add red mirror caps. I was about to order some old stock and have them painted at a nearby shop, when I decided to Photoshop them onto the car... Somehow it didn't work for me. At least then.

I think cf mirror caps could look pretty rad, however!

For 2011, there's now available blacked-out lights as an paid option.

The blacked out headlights are a N/C option, with the Xenons.

The interior body color, is that on the dash and door rings, instead of piano black or Striped alloy for example, it will be pepper white. You can do that with pepper white, Horizon blue (door and dash match color of car) or interchange yellow.

JCW's can get Chili Red as a dash, door ring color.

 

yeah It's the dash and such...just hope it looks ok in the white, we have not seen it in person the car just happened to have it.

Now I have to decided about mirror caps and scuttles....just to personalize it.

 

Congrats Jibber. Care to share what prompted the move from a last year model of an R52 to R57. I like the R57s but just love my R52 to death and can't see myself giving away my R52 so that's why I would love to hear your take on why you want to move on.

 

Well, the car is the wife's, and we are moving to a convert. because when we bought her current MINI, it had NO sunroof! She LOVES the MINI and hates the fact that there is no sunroof, I see her eying the MINI droptops when she see's them, now with $1K and .09% I told her lets go for it!

Love the blacked out lamping. I wasn't sure and erred on the side of caution on my pepper white but it does look good! Great design!

Well we picked it up....my impressions

1. Drives much less harsh then the 2008 S, less pounding!

2. Feels quicker

3. Less torque steer

4. Crackle and Pop....oh yeah!!! Plenty of that!!!
