R57 Laurel Edition Owners...question
Is the sticker obvious or does a part have to be removed?
And they are your best friend until the check signed. I knew there would be some agg....and I would have to drive a distance to resolve every issue. I had seconds thoughts about buying a Mini because of dealer location. So here I am. The paint job and some Top retraction intermittent problems. The dealer lives or dies at this point. This is their debut to make good. Let's see what they're made of.
I have a Mustang that I take on a 150m round trip for service & mods. I get the same tech. I get customer appreciation and respect. I never asked for anything unreasonable. I never questioned their prices. This place is the best service experience I ever had.
The service on my X3 had been very good. Problems were minimal. Warranty issues were handled fast and accurately.
My Chevy has been the pits...first & last GM for me.
Mustang outstanding.
Jeep was fair to good...but ended up taking it to my Ford mechanic and paying instead of going back to Jeep for free warranty.
I never had a paint issue so this is a first...and going to be inconvenient. I hope to be praising my Mini dealer royally instead of flaming them. I dread what they have to do to correct the situation. The less people that touch my cars...the better I feel.
And about what you said in reference to Quality Control.....seems that everyone has time to do it right the second time.

Do you still own your MINI?
...Les
I'm waiting for them to call me. They said the Mini Factory Rep has to see and OK it. Have not heard a thing and don't expect to. I think their policy is have the customer keep calling.
Also, the Hood stripe is to be replaced under warranty....I had to call them. All of a sudden they want to know when I can bring it in. And I have to leave the Mini. I requested that they give the stripe to me and I'll put it on and save them some $$$ and take responsibility. No, can't do. That's the status so far. I didn't expect it to be any better than it is but was hoping it would be. Anyway, I'm not letting the agency touch the Mini unless absolutely necessary. I can live with the paint the way it is. And someday I'll do some custom painted stripes if the current ones need to be replaced. Like I said prior....the less people that touch the Mini the better.
Mini needs more agencies and service depts.
I'm really enjoying driving and pride of ownership. The Mini is a lot of fun. I got out of my Mustang and into the Mini last week.....felt like I jumped into a high end Porsche

Fully modded and i have never had an issue with warranty. Working in the car industry for sometime, change your service rep, they are the POC to Mini usa. Just got a new turbo and turbo manifold covered under warranty w mods, i dont even flash it to stock lol.
