I know this has been threaded to death, but please bear with me...

To compensate for all the times I had to go back n' forth because of the faulty door molding, Mini offered me a wind screen for my troubles (Well, after I asked of course).

Just picked it up & had a few questions:

I was expecting the one with the zippered compartments (the checkered flag), but this is just a vey basic screen that fits over about three quarters of the back seat & then another smaller wind screen pops up in front perpendicular. Is that right?
Does it work when all windows are open, or just when the windows are closed?
How much of a diffrence should I notice (with windows closed &/or windows open)?

Anything else I should know about it?

MINI apparently offers 2 styles: one is with chrome frame, a handle to raise/lower from the font seat, and those zippered compartments that no one can figure out what to use for. Basic Black version does not have handle to raise/lower or the zippered compartments. Both have storage bags and store in the boot. Chrome list is $449; basic black is $500.

I have the basic black one on my 2010S because I thought it looked better with the black interior. It's a genuine MINI accessory bought from a MINI dealer on eBay for around $350, no tax, free shipping.
