I was so excited knowing today was your day Muse...but now I'll have to wait to see yours and mine!? Mine should be unloaded from the train tomorrow and on it's way to the dealer by Wednesday or Thursday. Unfortunately, I have a few options that still need to be added...so it may not be on the road until early next week!!!!

Yes, Muse, I picked mine up today. It is amazing!!!!

First, I found out if my MINI was on a ship I could track. Fortunately it was. I went to this web site and clicked on auto cargo, entering my VIN. It showed which ship my MINI was assigned to and the various ports it would stop at.

Next bit was to go to this web site and click on "ship tracker" and then "find specific ship by name or call sign." Enter the ship name you found previously...the call sign is also displayed if you want to note that. When you click on the ship name, a map will come up.

Once your ship arrives stateside it gets more difficult....one's sanity suffers, but it is worth it!!!

 

Well I've had several, but my globe-trotting offspring seem to wander off w/ them. It'd be easy to blame them, but I'm the idiot who handed it over!!!

 

CRRRRRAAAAAPPPPP....Ok...my car is supposed to be at the dealer's today, it's registered as being in the city somewhere on a truck....but it hasn't shown up yet! CRRRRRAAAAAPPP....

...and Dennis still has 2 days of prep before road ready...which means Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday next week if it comes in tomorrow....CCCRRRAAAPPP

Muse...funny thing I noticed...since the converts are still the old style (which I really love), I noticed that you had a traditional style key. The non-converts are the new style and don't have a key anymore. A round disc fits into a little dock on the dash and there's the push button start.....no turn of the key for me!
