I pickup Saturday - only because I am out of town on business...uhgggggg!!!. I keep thinking it's just sitting there waiting for me.....all alone.....in a parking lot.....wondering where its owner could be.......ok now I am depressed...

 

oh my oh my...mine its on its way too...and i really need a car because i sold mine and can't drive it!

 

Mine should be here...according to an email from my MA...early next week!!! I'm supposed to have a clear bra installed though so that may hold things up for an extra day. Either way...right now I'm planning to take off the end of the week to do some motoring over a long weekend!!!

 

called my MA and he said the 20th is the day...but said that it could be here as soon as friday...so yeeeeeeeeah!!!

 

Picked mine up yesterday!! We got there before the dealer even opened. As I walked up to one, out of the 80 somewhat Mini's there, I was happy to see one in my Sparkling Silver color. Low and Behold....it was my MC! I didn't get any free-freebee's thrown in, but I did get one accidently thrown in....my spoiler! I had accidently forgot to place it on the order and figured that I would eventually have one installed. Well, they didn't charge me for it and shamefully, I really didn't even notice until I started taking pics in my driveway. We spent the rest of the day motoring around. I got nothing done at work today, everyone was pulling me outside to play show and tell!!

Hope you guys all get yours soon, you won't want to get out of the drivers seat!

I'm in a similar situation in that I have one car and my daughter drives it more than I do...with my permission I must admit (yes, I'm an idiot). The good news is that it, too is a MINI! Things will be much simpler when we are a two MINI household!! Mine will arrive on Tuesday and I will pick it up on Thursday afternoon!!!

 

Looks like its going to be a good pick-up week for everyone. We should see lots of pictures out of Production week 17 coming soon! I finally got home from AZ this week and cannot wait to pickup my car tomorrow. I think I have decided on a name but will need to wait til someone tells me if its a boy or a girl. I hope I can sleep tonight!:impatient

 

Muse: Keep me posted please! I am so anxious to see pics of yours...one of my favorites...but don't tell the others! hahaha...

Mine will be in my city on Sunday..but then has to be unloaded from train, onto truck to dealer, 3 days work at dealer for options...looks like it'll be road worthy by the 29 or 30.....

Thanks for asking Muse! Here are some initial photos - I could not be happier, as everyone says you cannot wipe the smile off your face while driving. I decided on the name as I was driving home - FINTAN - Gaelic for the "White Bull". The day here is cloudy and cold, so I will take more pics when the sun returns. I hope all of you get yours soon, it is just such fun!

Thanks gokartride - I only motored a total of 100 miles today and just got back into the house after playing with the "mood" lighting in the dark - that's a pretty cool feature I must say

 

ooooh andy its sooo shiny and new!!! beautiful! enjoy!! mine now says 5/21...guess its monday after alll...i have a good feeling about monday...because its the day it will be a b__tch to pick up! but hopefully i will be able to go with someone...prob my momma... cause shes cool like that...so yeah monday monday....oh just one mooooooore day....sigh

and the funniest part is that i don't want sunday to go by fast cause its sunday!! LOL who wants a monday?

Hello ship-mates!!! Wanted to issue a warning...my Cooper will be in Tuesday and picked up Thursday afternoon or Friday morning. Do not expect pics!!! Why?? Because I am plagued by my four beloved 20-something kids, some of whom are into borrowing dad's camera for extended periods of time. My digi camera is in Australia at the moment and I doubt if it will ever return (in functioning order). I could buy another one but right now valve caps, detailing supplies, and MINI swag are more on my mind...you understand, right?? So, I promise to see what I can beg, borrow, or steal in the photographic equipment department. In the end it will be a plain ol' generic Oxygen Blue/White Cooper with 15" rotator spoke wheels, no exterior chrome, and front/rear foggys. Inside I have black checkered cloth sport seats, english oak trim and wheel, and no extra bling. If you don't see pics up at first use your vivid imaginations, okay??

I took my first commute from NJ to D.C. tonight - Even though it took the same amount of time, time seemed to whiz by. And it got 33.8 miles a gallon!! - not even broken in yet.
